Overview

Cláudia Silvestre has been bringing stories to life in the edit bay since 2004. Over the last two decades, she has built a massive and diverse portfolio that spans feature films, documentaries, scripted series, commercials, and music videos. Known for her structural eye and versatility, she seamlessly jumps between formats to find the emotional core of every narrative she touches.

Along the way, she’s had the privilege of collaborating with some of the industry's most respected directors, including António-Pedro Vasconcelos, Luís Galvão Teles, and Luís Campos.

Her editorial work has picked up serious recognition on the global festival circuit. Projects she has cut have screened and won awards at major international venues, including Tallinn Black Nights, the Tokyo International Film Festival, IndieLisboa, DocLisboa, FIDMarseille, and the Rome Independent Film Festival.

Recently, she edited Luís Campos's debut feature Terra Vil, which was selected for the prestigious Ingmar Bergman Competition at the Göteborg Film Festival, alongside the narrative series Madrugada Suja and Mário Patrocínio's feature Maria Vitória.

She is currently cutting the documentary series Viewfinder, co-directed by Azul partner Filipe Carvalho and Jorge Pelicano.
